Growing kit based on the Gro-Tank GT205 reservoir and Aero Grow 19 modules, designed for managing the root zone with recirculating nutrient solution irrigation. The Aero Grow approach aims to work without medium, making transplanting and management faster and cleaner.
Key features
- Growing approach: root zone management with recirculating nutrient solution
- Main components: Gro-Tank GT205 base + Aero Grow 19 modules
- “Medium-free” management: Aero Grow philosophy aimed at avoiding traditional substrates (always refer to the documentation of the module/version)
- Root control: inspectable root chambers to monitor development
- Materials: opaque, UV-resistant components (Aero Grow line)
- Origin: Made in Germany (Aero Grow line)
Overview
What it is for
The system is designed for indoor cultivation where you want to manage the root zone in an orderly way, promoting access to oxygen and nutrients through irrigation with recirculating nutrient solution. The Aero Grow setup aims to maximise the root zone and simplify transplanting and repotting operations, reducing dependence on traditional substrates.
Who it is for
- Growers who want a structured and clean solution for root management
- Those who want to visually monitor the root zone and intervene quickly if needed
- Indoor setups that require modular and reusable components
What makes it different
- Aero Grow philosophy oriented toward working without medium, with faster and tidier plant management
- Visible root chambers for monitoring development and the irrigation zone
- Opaque, UV-resistant components to reduce the solution’s exposure to light
- Aero Grow module declared adaptable/retrofit for many installations and widely used hydroponic systems
How to use
Assembly
- Place the base/reservoir on a stable, level surface.
- Assemble the irrigation circuit following the system diagram and instructions (reservoir and recirculation components).
- Install the Aero Grow 19 modules according to the configuration provided by the kit.
- Check that tubing and connections are properly fitted and leak-free.
Startup
- Fill the reservoir with water and prepare the nutrient solution according to the instructions of the fertiliser line used.
- Start recirculation and check that irrigation reaches the root zone correctly.
- Carry out an initial check for any seepage and for flow/spray stability.
Daily management
- Monitor the level and condition of the nutrient solution and top up when necessary.
- Observe the root zone to check wetting uniformity and the general condition of the roots.
- Keep recirculation components clean to reduce deposits and possible blockages.
Maintenance
- Periodically replace the nutrient solution and clean the reservoir and irrigation lines.
- Between cycles, wash and sanitise components in contact with water/nutrients.
- Store Aero Grow modules clean and dry before storage.
Warnings
- Avoid direct light hitting the nutrient solution to reduce algae growth.
- Use fertilisers suitable for recirculating systems, avoiding mixes that may promote encrustations.
- If spraying/flow is uneven, act immediately by cleaning and checking the lines.

FAQ & growing tips
Is a substrate needed with Aero Grow 19?
The Aero Grow documentation describes the approach as oriented toward working without medium. There are different versions of the module (e.g. V1/V2) with different requirements/integrations: refer to the documentation attached to the supplied module.
Can I check the condition of the roots during cultivation?
Yes: the Aero Grow documentation highlights visible root chambers for monitoring the root zone, useful for tracking development and general condition.
Can it be adapted to existing hydroponic systems?
The Aero Grow documentation indicates the possibility of adapting/retrofitting the system for many installations and widely used hydroponic systems (in particular, compatibility with various Nutriculture/IGS/NFT systems is mentioned).
